Hibana is countered by Bandit (shock destroys pellets), Kaid (electroclaw destroys pellets) and Mute (jammed pellets don't detonate). Hibana counters Mira (one pellet kills the mirror), Jäger (pellets ignore ADS) and Wamai (pellets ignore Mag-NET). Hibana pairs best with Thatcher, Kali and Twitch.

Hibana's gadget: X-KAIROS

Launcher with 18 sticky thermal pellets (2x1, 2x2, 3x2 patterns) that open reinforced walls and (4 pellets) reinforced hatches; pellets ignore Jäger/Wamai but are jammed by Mute and destroyed by Bandit/Kaid.

• Mute can't stop Hibana (model: Mute only blocks Thermite). Mute's jammer does stop X-KAIROS pellets; the sim should let Mute block Hibana as well as Thermite (not Ace).

• Mute's Signal Disruptor stops pellets in its radius from detonating. (since launch (Y1S4))
• Bandit's Shock Wire and Kaid's Electroclaw destroy pellets on electrified surfaces (even mid-detonation since 2.3.0). (since Y2S3)
