Thermite is countered by Bandit (shock destroys the charge), Kaid (claw shock destroys the charge) and Mute (jammer stops the trigger). Thermite counters Mira (opening the wall removes the Black Mirror). Thermite pairs best with Thatcher, Kali and Twitch.

Three (since Y10S4, was 2) placed, remotely triggered charges that open a large hole in reinforced walls or hatches after a loud 3 s burn; stopped by shock (destroys the charge) and by Mute jammers (can't trigger).

• Thermite opens a Mira before the push (claimed wrong). True when he breaches the wall the mirror is on: thermal breach destroys the Black Mirror.

Key Thermite facts (Y11S3)

• Exothermic Charge count increased to 3 (from 2) in Y10S4. (since Y10S4)
• Can be placed on any destructible surface including reinforced walls and hatches; 4 m explosion radius can also take out an adjacent reinforced wall/hatch.
• Remote trigger: will not fire if the charge or Thermite is inside a Mute jammer (unchanged by the Y10S4 jammer rework). (since Y10S4)
• Electricity from Bandit/Kaid destroys the deployed charge.
• Can bypass a shocked/jammed wall by charging an adjacent perpendicular wall or the floor next to it.
• Breaching a reinforced wall that holds a Black Mirror destroys the mirror.
• Placed, not thrown: Jäger and Wamai do not affect it; Maestro can only shoot Hibana/Ace style projectiles.
