Echo is countered by IQ (finds Yokai and Echo on his PDA), Brava (the Kludge steals the Yokai) and Thatcher (EMP drops the Yokai off the ceiling). Echo counters Montagne (burst forces the shield to retract), Blitz (listed as countered by Yokai) and Thermite (burst cancels the charge placement). Echo pairs best with Valkyrie, Smoke and Melusi.

• Top-floor anchor; Echo can stop every Bar plant from above. Sites: Clubhouse Bar / Stage.

Echo myths

• Echo can deny the plant after he is dead. Only Echo controls and fires a Yokai; after he dies teammates can only watch the feed. Even Brava's converted Yokai can't fire once Echo is eliminated.

Key Echo facts (Y11S3)

• On the ceiling a Yokai fires sonic bursts (2 charges, 15 m range, through holes as big as melee holes) that disorient for 10 s and cancel most actions: planting the defuser, placing breach charges, deploying Thermite and Fuze charges and Flores's drone, Dokkaebi's call; they also make Montagne retract his shield.
• Sonic burst recharge cut from 16 to 15 s in the Y11S3 designer's notes (Aug 2026). (since Y11S3)
• All defenders can watch the Yokai feeds, but only Echo can control them and fire. Liquipedia records that even a Brava-converted Yokai can't shoot once Echo is eliminated.
• Thatcher's EMP knocks a Yokai off the ceiling. IQ finds Yokai (and Echo while he is on his PDA), Twitch and Zero destroy them, Brava's Kludge takes full control, and Dokkaebi can hack the feeds. Kali, Flores and explosives can kill them; Finka's surge overrides the disorientation.
